The Haryana Police have arrested Tajinder Gill, a UK-based NRI, accused of fraud with the help of the CBI and the Interpol.
A team of the Haryana Police arrested the accused on November 18 after the immigration authorities at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai informed the former about his arrival.
A case under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC was registered against Tajinder Gill at the Civil Lines police station here on February, 2015. He was charged with duping a doctor of Rs 48 lakh.He has been remanded into six-day police custody by a local court. He is now being interrogated. His accomplices would also be arrested, said the police. — TNS
