The first meeting the common minimum programme (CMP) committee of the BJP-JJP government today asked the officials to work out the financial and legal implications of the pre-poll promises to be implemented in the state in the next five years.
At its first meeting under the chairmanship of Home Minister Anil Vij here today, the committee decided to hold regular meetings to review the progress in the implementation of the CMP. The first review meeting will be held after 15 days.
It may be recalled that the election promises of the BJP entailed an expenditure of around Rs 32,000 crore while the total expenditure of the JJP on the fulfilment of the pre-poll promise has been pegged at Rs 37,000 crore.
There are a number of pre-poll promises on which the two alliance partners agree in principle. These include issues related to farmers, old-age pension and more employment opportunities for Haryana.
