“A heavy police force, a bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs were pressed into service and the building was vacated and searched thoroughly,” Kurukshetra Superintendent of Police Simardeep Singh said.

“The police searched the premises for nearly three hours, but found nothing. In the meantime, we were also trying to trace the number, which we did,” he said, adding, “the caller turned out be a Class VIII boy of the same school who was afraid of coming to the school for the parents-teachers meet”.

Investigation brought out the teachers had recently warned the student for his mischievous behaviour and told him the matter would be taken up in the meeting.

The SP said no case had been registered and the student was being counselled.
