Notwithstanding Ajay Chautala’s visit to his estranged younger brother Abhay Chautala at his farmhouse in Teja Khera village of Sirsa yesterday, there is hardly any scope for political reunion in the Chautala clan, at least for the time being.

Sources said the meeting was merely a family ritual and nothing much should be read into the meeting.

“It is common to visit elders’ place to wish Ram Ram a day after Diwali in our society. The farmhouse belongs to Ajay and Abhay’s father Om Prakash Chautala, a former CM who is currently in Tihar Jail. Since, Chautala’s wife Sneh Lata had recently died and this was the first festival after her demise, it is a common ritual to visit their place on this day. This was the reason Ajay visited the Teja Khera farmhouse,” said a source.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala also clarified today that the Chautala families were united, only their parties were different.
