CM suspends XEN for negligence

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar suspended an Executive Engineer (XEN) and a District Mining Officer (DMO) during a janta darbar in Charkhi Dadri today.

Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) XEN Bhagirath was placed under suspension for negligence in performing his duty and DMO RS Thakran for failing to turn up for the meeting.

Addressing the gathering, Khattar directed officials to ensure allotment of LPG connections to applicants, adding that negligence would not be tolerated.

The Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to immediately suspend the panch or sarpanch of any village who had not been able to fulfil any conditions stipulated at the time of election.

He announced that a Home Guard unit would be set up in Dadri. He ordered investigation into a complaint regarding obstruction of development works in Paldi village.

He handed over investigation into the murder of a bank employee of Badhwana village to the crime branch and of embezzlement of Public Health Department funds to the Vigilance Bureau.

Officers of the Public Health and Engineering Department were told to provide drinking water through waterworks to Balkara village.

He ordered that grants received for the construction of toilets should be examined. He ordered that illegal occupants of bus stands in Dadma and Jaishree villages should be removed.

Khattar directed officials of the Electricity Department to provide 24-hour power supply and have a separate feeder if residents of Paldi village cleared bill dues.

On another complaint, he told the Deputy Commissioner to provide pension or job to a complainant. He said the government had been planning dharamshalas for the Sen community in cities across the state.
