Cooperative mills produce 14 lakh quintals of sugar

State cooperative sugar mills have so far produced over 13.97 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 152.57 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.

A spokesperson for the Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad, has produced a maximum of over 2.65 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 27.86 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak, has produced over 2.11 lakh quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal, over 1.63 lakh quintals of sugar and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.42 quintals of sugar by crushing 15.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham, has produced 1.32 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 15.78 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana, has produced 1.14 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 13.04 lakh quintals of sugarcane.

Apart from this, Hafed Sugar Mill, Assandh, has produced 1.56 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 17.66 lakh quintals of sugarcane. The average rate of sugar recovery by the sugar mills had been registered at 9.53 per cent so far, the spokesperson said.
