Dengue cases rise to 16 in Karnal

KARNAL: With three new confirmed cases of dengue by the Health Department through Elisa test, the number has risen to 16 in the district.

Karnal, November 14

With three new confirmed cases of dengue by the Health Department through Elisa test, the number has risen to 16 in the district. The health authorities had sent 50 suspected patients for the Elisa test, of them 16 have been confirmed for dengue, said Dr Ashwani Ahuja, officiating Civil Surgeon.

He maintains all the positive patients are in normal state now. Fogging had been carried out at places from where the patients were reported. Besides, the team members were doing house–to–house inspection to check stagnant water. Out of the confirmed patients, one is from UP, while the remaining are from different areas of the district. — TNS
