Dera chief being trapped in conspiracy: Vyapar mandal

Haryana Pradesh Vyapar Mandal president Bajrang Dass Garg, who is also the general secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vyapar Mandal, today alleged that Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was being trapped in a conspiracy.

Garg, while addressing mediapersons at the dera in Sirsa today, said Ram Rahim Singh is a “saint” and he has been doing religious and social service activities for the welfare of humanity.

Garg said the vyapar mandal had stood with Ram Rahim Singh in the past and would remain with him in future too. A special CBI court in Panchkula has reserved its judgment in a case relating to the alleged rape of former dera sadhvis against Ram Rahim Singh for August 25 and he has been directed to appear personally before the court on that day.

Garg, who also participated in a congregation in the dera after the press conference, said the sentiments of millions of people across the country were attached with the dera and its chief due to the welfare activities they had been doing. “Now, the dera chief is being trapped in a conspiracy to put a spanner in the good works being done by him, which is not the right thing to do,” he added. — TNS
