DHBVN launches incentive scheme for recovery of arrears

The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has introduced an incentive scheme for any person, including individual, group of individuals, gram panchayats, NGOs, self help groups or society and nigam employees, who make valuable contribution in recovery of arrears from permanently disconnected or connected domestic and non-domestic consumers.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the nigam said incentive ranging from 2.5 to 10 per cent of the realised amount would be made to the person concerned.

He said a huge amount was outstanding as arrears against permanently disconnected or connected domestic and non-domestic consumers in urban and rural areas. In order to liquidate these outstanding arrears, surcharge waiver schemes were launched from time-to-time.

He said in case of recovery of defaulting amount in Permanent Disconnected Order (PDCO) cases effected prior to April 1, 2015, the incentive in the urban areas would be up to five per cent of the realised amount and up to 10 per cent of the realised amount in the rural areas.

He said in case of recovery of defaulting amount in the PDCO cases effected with effect from April 1, 2015, and up to March 31, 2017, the incentive in the urban areas would be up to 2.5 per cent of the realised amount and up to 5 per cent of the realised amount in the rural areas.

Similarly, in case of defaulting amount from connected defaulters, who have not paid the electricity bills prior to April 1, 2016, the incentive in the urban areas would be up to 2.5 per cent of the realised amount and up to 5 per cent of the realised amount in the rural areas.

The spokesman said in case of defaulting amount from the connected defaulters who had not paid the electricity bills since April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2017, the incentive in the rural areas would be 2.5 per cent of the realised amount, whereas there would be no incentive in the urban areas.
