The Education Department is yet to upload Form VI, which is filled by private schools every year, on the MIS portal.
The form was introduced by the state government in 2003. It contains information about student and staff strength, income, expenses, last year’s fee structure and next year’s proposal to hike fee or other charges, school building and infrastructure details and facilities available. As per Rule 158 (2) of the Haryana School Education Rules, 2003, the form is submitted by all unaided schools by January 1 every year.
Kulbhushan Sharma, president of the National Independent Schools Alliance, said, “The last date to submit the form is January 1, but it is yet to be uploaded on the MIS portal. There are nearly 6,000 recognised private schools in the state. If the form is uploaded with four-five days left, last-minute rush would slow down the website. Schools will not be able to fill in the form. This would lead to an unnecessary dispute between the school and the department.”
He said earlier, hard copies of the forms used to be submitted to the department. However, since 2016, the department had been accepting forms online.
He said the department must look into the matter and demanded that the schools be given time till January 31.
An official of the Education Department said, “I have not received any complaint in this regard so far. But if it is the case, it is negligence on part of the department.”
District Education Officer Uma Sharma said, “The link and date for the submission of form is yet to be released by the Directorate. As soon as we get the directions regarding the link and date, the message will be conveyed to the schools.”
