Faridabad voter count up 5.45%

The number of registered voters is over 20 lakh in the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency. The number of voters went up from 19,58,940 on January 31 to 20,65,811 in the revised list made public on April 23.
Sources in the Election Department said new voters were registered in a drive from February 1 to April 13. Eligible persons were given a chance to get themselves registered in the list, enabling 5.45 per cent growth.
The number of voters in six Assembly segments of Faridabad district went up from 13,73,336 to 14,62,846. The number of voters in three Assembly segments of Palwal district went up from 5,85,604 to 6,02,965.
Voter awareness slips with date of polling, asking people to vote that day, were being given with LPG cylinders, milk packets and newspapers in various localities of the Assembly constituency.
