Gau Ayog plans ‘phenyl’ from cow urine
Chandigarh: The Haryana Gau Sewa Ayog has planned a concoction of cow urine and herbs such as tulsi and neem and pine oil that will be used for mopping floors in government hospitals and offices. The Gaushala Ayog has made a proposal for manufacturing “phenyl” from cow urine and sell it to government hospitals and offices. “Cow urine is the best disinfectant. It has the potential of killing all types of bacteria. After adding herbs such as tulsi and neem, besides pine oil, cow urine becomes a better disinfectant than chemical phenyl,” claims Bhani Ram Mangla, chairman of the Haryana Gau Sewa Ayog. He says 427 gaushalas in the state are providing shelter to 3.25 lakh cows. Most of these gaushalas are facing financial crunch as these are largely dependent on donations from public and sale of cow milk. Manufacturing phenyl from cow urine can be a good source of income for these gaushalas. Dr Ranbir Singh Dahiya, a former senior professor in surgery at the PGIMS, Rohtak, says it is unfortunate that the BJP government is trying to replace science with popular belief.
‘I, me, myself’ of Amit Shah
Rohtak: BJP president Amit Shah addressed a news conference during his three-day stay at Rohtak recently. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP general secretary in charge of Haryana affairs Anil Jain and the party’s Haryana unit president Subhash Barala. A journalist stated that his question was meant for the BJP president and the Haryana CM. At this, Shah instantly retorted: “Sirf mere liye…ye meri press conference hai…(Only for me...This is my pess conference…)”. Khattar, who sat right next to Shah, did not utter a word. Another journalist mentioned that the Haryana BJP president (Barala) had recently stated that the next elections to the state Assembly would be contested under Khattar’s leadership, Shah at once remarked: “Maine aisa kaha, isliye inhone aisa kaha (He said so because I said so),” putting Barala to embarrassment this time. Khattar, Jain and Barala remained mute spectators during the entire conference.
