Gurugram, August 31
The police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the gruesome murders of Brijpura in the Pataudi area of the district. “A special team has been formed and it is conducting raids and will nab the accused soon,” said CP KK Rao.
A five-member SIT led by Rajesh Kumar, DCP, Manesar, is questioning neighbours and conducting raids.
“More than one person was involved in the murders. We are still juggling with motive of the crime with different theories of property dispute, family enmity and possibility of extramarital affair being looked into. Interrogation of the accused will only verify the motive,” said an SIT member.
On Wednesday night, Brijpura resident Manish (28), his wife Pinky (23) and mother Phoolwati (62) were found dead in their home. Manish’s four-year-old son escaped death as he was not at home at that time, while his one-year-old sister, who suffered head injury, died during treatment at a private hospital. Manish and his mother were found lying in a pool of blood, while Pinky was found hanging. — TNS
