Former Hisar MLA dies at 98

Former legislator Snehlata (98) died after a brief illness at her residence on Friday. She was elected as Punjab’s Member of Legislative Council (MLC) in 1962 and an MLA from the Hisar Assembly segment in 1967.

She had been living at the Churamani Hospital campus for a long time.Her husband Mahesh Chandra was a freedom fighter. — TNS
