CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 7.63 crore for the upgrade of 14 3G static cell phone jammers to 4G jammers in four jails of the state.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 7.63 crore for the upgrade of 14 3G static cell phone jammers to 4G jammers in four jails of the state.

Stating this here on Tuesday, an official spokesman said the district jails in Jhajjar, Sonepat and Gurugram and Central Jail in Ambala would get the upgrade.

He said during 2016-17, the Prisions Department had got installed 14 3G static cell phone jammers of the ECIL in these four jails. — TNS
