Four Roadways’ GMs suspended

Four General Managers of the Haryana Roadways were suspended today for misleading the government by providing “fudged” information about buses and their routes. The Governor issued the suspension orders of the GMs this evening.
According to the Governor’s orders, the services of NK Garg, General Manager, Palwal, with additional charge of Nuh; Surender Singh, General Manager, Narnaul; MS Kharab, General Manager, Jind; and AK Dogra, General Manager, Panipat, have been placed under suspension with immediate effect.
RR Jowel, Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department, in the orders, said that their headquarters had been fixed in the office of the Director General, State Transport, Chandigarh.
Sources in the Transport Department said that that the General Managers had allegedly inflated earnings of the Roadways in their areas, submitted to the headquarters for the Chief Minister’s meeting held yesterday.
