Girls get lioness’ share of top spots in Class XII exam

BHIWANI: Of 20 toppers in the Class-12 examinations conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE), 13 are girls and five of them are from Bhiwani district alone.

Of 20 toppers in the Class-12 examinations conducted by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE), 13 are girls and five of them are from Bhiwani district alone.

In a list of topper released today, Sanjana Basor (18) from MDS Senior Secondary School, Siwan Mandi, has topped the state by securing 98per cent (490 marks out of 500). She had opted for the non-medical stream.

Manisha from The Heights Senior Secondary School, Khudan, Jhajjar, grabbed the second position by scoring 97.6 per cent (488 marks out of 500), while Aarzoo Yadav from RN Tagore Senior Secondary School Jamalpur, Gurgaon, bagged the third spot. She scored 97.4 per cent marks (487 out of 500).

Manisha from Paras Senior Secondary School, Satnali, Mahendragarh, is fourth on the list by scoring 97.2 per cent marks. Pranav Kumar from Jeevan Jyoti Senior Secondary School, Mandola, Rewari, is lone boy among the top five.

All five toppers are from the science stream.

Saloni of the commerce stream from Jind secured the sixth position by scoring 96.8 per cent marks.

Next on the list are science students Rachana (96.8 per cent) of Bhiwani, Yogesh (96.6 per cent) of Palwal and Raveena Jangra (96.6 per cent) of Bhiwani.

Nidhi Doda of the commerce stream from Anand Public School, Nigdhu, Karnal, is placed on the 10th spot with a score of 483 marks (96.6 per cent).

Science student Sneha (96.6 per cent) of Bhiwani bagged the 11th position. Deepak Jain from Panipat, Manish Kumar of Karnal, Bhawana of Rewari, Monika of Sonepat, Munesh Kumar of Bhiwani and Udit Singla of Kurukshetra scored 482 marks (96.4 per cent).

Nitish and Ritu Sharma of Palwal and Yachna of Jhajjar scored 481 marks.
