A superintending engineering of the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) committed suicide at his house on the campus on Thursday.
Ashok Ahlawat (47) from Jhajajr’s Dighal village was found hanging from a fan in his room when a cook went to serve food in the afternoon. Ahlawat was alone in the house. His wife, an assistant professor in the GJUST, was away to Delhi, while their children had gone to school.
Sources said he was upset because of some household matters. Ahlawat was credited with construction of several buildings on the campus, including Chaudhary Ranbir Singh Auditorium. — TNS
