Govt promotes 38 HCS officers to IAS

A total of 38 HCS officers were on Wednesday promoted as IAS officers against various vacancies filled by state service officers.
The promotions had been hanging fire after the seniority list was challenged in court. Following a settlement in court, the promotion orders were issued. Since no promotion took place against vacancies from 2013, a large number of officers promoted were against vacancies due from 2013 to 2018.
Last year, the DPC for promotions was held for vacancies up to 2017. Last month, vacancies of 2018 were added and another DPC held, after which a joint order on promotions were released.
The officers promoted are Amarjit Singh Mann, Sujan Singh, AK Garg, Pradeep Godara, RS Verma, Monica Malik, Jasbir Singh Arya, Maheshwar Sharma, Guirish Arora, Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Ajay Malik, Kulwant Kalson, Rajesh Jogpal, Jitender Kumar-1, Hema Sharma, Mukul Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Anju Chaudhry, Mahavir Kaushik, Yash Pal, Yashendra Singh, Narhari Singh Banger, Rajiv Mehta, Pradeep Kumar-1, Dharmender Singh, Ritu, Dharmvir Singh, Ram Kumar Singh, Sushil Sarwan, Manoj Kumar, Shakti Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Pratima Chaudhry, Virender Dahiya, Mahavir Singh, Jagdish Sharma, Lalit Kumar and Virender Lather.
