The state government has issued guidelines for issuance of sports gradation certificate to ensure that only eligible and bona fide sportspersons get jobs.
Any sportsperson playing for the state at the national level or the one who is a domicile of Haryana and does not represent other state at the national level will be eligible for the sports gradation certificate.
An official spokesman said that the Director (Sports) and the District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer would jointly be the sanctioning authority for all posts.
The sportsperson would submit an application on the prescribed form (in duplicate). The sanctioning authority would check the originals of all supporting documents and retain a copy with all self-attested supporting documents in his official record.
The certificate would be numbered and entered in a separate register maintained by the District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer concerned with running serial numbers.
Only such sports and games as are included in the Haryana Sports Policy would be covered. For international, Asian and Commonwealth tournaments, an individual or team should be sent or sponsored by the Union Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs or the Sports Authority of India or National Level Sports Federation affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association.
The tournaments are categorised in the decreasing order of level of competitive difficulty.
