Gurugram rape accused admits to necrophilia

He was not just a brutal paedophile but even a necrophiliac. This confession by 20-year-old labourer Sunil who raped corpses of many of his victims to "make the most of his catch" has rattled police.

The special interrogation team of Gurugram police is rattled by monstrous confessions the accused is making while in remand. The accused being interrogated by team headed by ACP Usha Kundu and the interrogation transcript revealed that the accused had raped corpses of many of his victims.

"I first did it when one of them (the victim) tried to get away. I killed her and then raped her and found it was no different. I sometimes raped them before and after the death. I had to ensure the no girl, whom I kidnapped, escaped. So death was the only way out," the accused told the interrogators.

"He is making many claims and we are in process of verifying the same. The psychological analysis of accused is being done. After verification we will confirm the same," said ACP Kundu. 

Amongst his major confessions is the sensational rape of a minor in 2013. The city was shocked in 2013 when a girl of Nathupur went missing from a Bhandara in DLF area and was found bleeding near a Metro pillar. The case led to huge uproar as the child was referred to Safdurjung Hospital in Delhi where she underwent multiple surgeries. The child had to undergo counselling for long time and after that family sent her to relatives. 

"It took us a lot of efforts to get her out of trauma. She was too young then and as she grew she knew what had happened. Today we don't want her to know who did it but want that monster dead," said one of her uncles. 

The accused also got police on its toes by claiming that he had raped a girl and dumped her at an empty ground at Huda city centre. The case was never reported and when police reached the spot construction had begun and no evidence was ever recovered.

He also reportedly told police that he had kidnapped a girl from Ghasola village but was caught and beaten some months back. 

Meanwhile, a team of Delhi police today reached and questioned him as they have traced an FIR matching his confession of killing a five-year-old girl after rape. The Jhansi team will be reaching here tomorrow and both will be seeking the accused on production remand.
