A Sikh youth from Bakana village near Shahbad Markanda has claimed that unidentified persons cut off his hair after he was kidnapped on October 31.
In a police complaint, Harbhajan Singh alleged he was kidnapped after he offered lift to a person near the NH 44. “I was sedated and kept at an unidentified place for three days. I managed to escape on November 2 and reached home. Someone cut off my hair during detention,” he alleged.
Police sources said the complainant did not appear to have sustained any physical injury.
A police official said Harbhajan was scheduled to marry on Monday, but the wedding had been postponed. — TNS
