Chandigarh, June 4
In a populist decision with an eye on Assembly elections, the Haryana Cabinet today announced incentives for Class B, C and D job aspirants, including those whose immediate family members are not in government jobs, widows, orphans and members of de-notified tribes.
The Cabinet amended the Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s notification okaying weightage of up to 10 per cent marks on the basis of socio-economic criteria and experience for government recruitments.
Now, the final recruitment would be made on the basis of a written examination for Group B posts (teacher, educational supervisor, teacher educator) and Group C and D posts in all departments.
While the written examination will carry 90 marks, the remaining 10 marks will be accounted for by socio-economic criteria and experience — both five marks each.
Five marks will be given to the candidate whose no immediate family member is a government servant. Similarly, five marks will be given if the applicant is a widow, is the first or the second child and his/her father had died before attaining the age of 42. Five marks will also be awarded to an applicant whose father died before the applicant turned 15.
Five marks have been reserved for nomadic tribes.
