The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has declared the results of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET). The pass percentage declined in the level 1 and level 3 categories while level 2 recorded a marginal improvement in success rate.
Jagbir Singh, chairman of HBSE, said the pass percentage in level 3 (post graduate teachers) was 0.83%. Of the total 1,16,940 candidates, only 969 qualified the test.
The pass percentage in level 1 (PRT) declined from 35.37% in 2016 to 12.51%. Only 9.98% candidates were successful in level 2 (Trained Graduate Teachers) exam. The success percentage in the 2016 was 9.03% in this category.
A total of 4,12,024 candidates appeared in all the three categories in December, 2017. Of which, 2,88,605 were women. Sources said the Board had withheld the result of 1,816 candidates whose thumb impressions didn’t match biometric attendance during the examination.
