It is an interesting in-and-out case for an IAS–IPS couple. While Sharandeep Kaur Brar relinquished charge as Sirsa DC to join at Ambala, her husband, Ashwin Shenvi, joined duty as SP in Sirsa on Friday evening. Sharandeep joined as Additional Deputy Commissioner at Sirsa on November 30, 2014. Her husband, Ashwin Shenvi, who was earlier SP at Bhiwani, was also transferred to Sirsa on February 7, 2015. On December 21, 2015, Shenvi was transferred to Hisar, a day before Sharandeep was promoted as DC in Sirsa since a district cannot have a couple in both key positions. Shenvi, who was first posted as SP at Hisar, was later shifted to Sonepat. Shenvi joined duty as SP in Sirsa again on Friday after 20 months pursuant to the government’s orders dated August 17. However, the day Shenvi was shifted to Sirsa, Sharandeep was transferred to Ambala as DC.
