A 1983-batch Indian Administrative Service officer Keshni Anand Arora was appointed the new Haryana Chief Secretary on Sunday.
She replaces DS Dhesi, who retired on Sunday.
Keshni Arora is the third in her family to become Haryana’s Chief Secretary. Both her sisters Meenakshi Anand Chaudhary and Urvashi Gulati have served in the position before.
Financial Commissioner, Revenue, and Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue and Disaster Management) Keshni Anand Arora is currently the most senior bureaucrat in the state administration. She retires on September 30, 2020.
With Haryana going to the Assembly polls in October this year, Arora's tenure assumes added importance.
