Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has committed another faux pas when he tweeted wrong facts while congratulating Priyanka Beniwal from Soolikhera village of Fatehabad for becoming a pilot as he described her as the first woman pilot from the state.
“Haryana ki lado Priyanka ko pradesh ki pehli mahila pilot banane par bahut bahut badhai. Betiyon Par Garv Hai. #BetiyonKaHaryana ,” said Khattar’s tweet posted at 8.35 am today.
While accepting Khattar’s congratulatory message, Priyanka that perhaps there was some confusion.
“I myself know Akshi from Karnal who works with the Indian Coast Guard; Komal Punia, who works with Spicejet’ and Penny Chaudhary, who also flies a helicopter with the Indian Coast Guard. All these are from Haryana and perhaps there must be some others too,” Priyanka said.
It is not for the first time that Khattar has been caught on the wrong foot by posting wrong facts in his tweets.
Earlier, he had tweeted that all the 10000 villages of Haryana would be made free from open defecation by June 23 though the total number of villages in Haryana is 6,841.
A twitterati Jaswinder Bisla reminded Khattar that Akshi Gupta from his own assembly constituency of Karnal became the first woman pilot.
