Khattar to open first ‘Police Mitra Kaksh’

KARNAL: Aiming at better co-ordination between the police and public, the state government has decided to establish ‘Police Mitra Kaksh’ (PMK) in Karnal and Rohtak on a pilot basis.

Aiming at better co-ordination between the police and public, the state government has decided to establish ‘Police Mitra Kaksh’ (PMK) in Karnal and Rohtak on a pilot basis.

The state’s first PMK will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at Civil Lines Police Station in Karnal on November 27.

This PMK would provide facilities like registration of grievances, registration of missing property, cyber cafe verification, hotel registration etc.

ISimilar facilities have been created in the District Police Headquarters located in the mini-secretariat and in Madhuban, Gharaunda, Indri, Butana and Assandh police stations

The fee for seeking information under the RTI Act will be Rs 10 and the desired information would be provided within 30 days, said Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, SP.
