Kids showcase talent on stage

Santosh Atreja, honorary general secretary, Haryana State Child Welfare Council, today inaugurated the two-day state-level ‘Bal Utsav’ at RKSD College here.
Sunita Verma, Deputy Commissioner and chairperson of the District Child Welfare Council, was present. Children presented various cultural items.
Atreja said besides studies, moral values should be inculcated in children. She said through such cultural programmes, children got an opportunity to sharpen their cultural skills and learned mutual trust.
She highlighted various welfare programmes undertaken by the council for the benefit of destitute children.
The DC stressed the need to maintain proper sex ratio. Balbir Chauhan, district child welfare officer, highlighted the district council activities.
