The Haryana State Council of Educational Research and Training has developed a new mobile application Meri e-Pustak and a test version of digi-LEP (Learning Enhancement Program) teacher training online course.
While launching the app and test version, Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) Dheera Khandelwal said the Meri e-Pustak had been developed for showcasing and disseminating educational e-resources, including textbooks, audio, video, periodicals, and a variety of other print and non-print materials. In the new Meri e-Pustak text books and all LEP, books of classes 1 to 5 would now be available on mobile application.
She said LEP support material would also be available on digi-LEP website and digi-LEP WhatsApp groups.
She said students, teachers, educators and parents could access e-books through multiple technology platforms such as mobile phones and tablets and from the web through laptops and desktops (as Flipbook). Meri e-Pustak also allows users to carry as many books as their device supports.
The National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA) has also directed all the states to go online through its school leadership course. — TNS
