NDRI ranked best agriculture university

The Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi, has ranked National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) here India’s best agricultural university among 72 such universities.
The Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research (IIWBR) has been awarded with the prestigious Chaudhary Devi Lal Outstanding AICRP Award 2018 for the All-India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on wheat and barley.
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar awarded Dr RRB Singh, Director, NDRI, and Dr GP Singh, Director, IIWBR, in New Delhi on the ICAR’s 91st foundation day programme on Tuesday.
Dr SK Tomar, principal scientist, dairy microbiology division, NDRI, has been awarded with Bharat Ratna.
Dr RRB Singh said it was a moment of pride for the NDRI. “The institute has achieved a landmark success for developing several technologies,” he added. — TNS
