IPS officer Navdeep Singh Virk on Wednesday took charge as new IGP of Karnal Range.

Soon after joining office, the IGP interacted with mediapersons and said that strengthening of law and order and serving the public were his top priorities.

Virk urged the people to visit local police station or meet the DSP or the SP concerned for their grievances before coming to him. “I could not do much if a person comes directly to me without approaching the local police for his/her grievances,” he said.

He also appealed the police to follow traffic rules so that people could get inspiration from them.
