Samiti members met local MLA and Hafed chairman Harvinder Kalyan to seek a meeting with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during ‘khula darbar’ in Karnal on Friday.

Kalyan assured them on sorting out the issue at the earliest. He told them that he had apprised Khattar about the problem being faced by residents.

He said he had sent a letter to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, seeking either toll exemption for local commuters or shifting of the toll plaza outside Gharaunda.
