NIT student falls from hostel building, dies

Kurukshetra, December 6

A student died after falling from the hostel building of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), here last night.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok Meena of Rewari.

Police suspects said the deceased was in an inebriated condition and he accidently fell from the fourth floor of hostel number 10.

NIT sources said Meena was a student of 2013-17 batch of the Electronics and Communications Department. He had come to reappear in an exam.

The deceased was staying in the hostel for the last few days.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Jaglan, SHO, Kurukshetra University Police Station, said the deceased’s parents did not file a police case as prima facie, no foul play was seen behind the incident.
