Karnal, September 10

Being run without a change of land use (CLU) certificate, a “dhaba” near Nilokheri on the National Highway-44 has been demolished by the Town and Country Planning Department.

District Town Planner Vikram Kumar said they would demolish all such “dhabas” functioning illegally in the next six months. The department had razed four such “dhabas” in the district limits on NH-44 recently.

“We had convened a meeting that was attended by all dhaba owners here. We told them to obtain a CLU certificate, but they did not bother. So, we are being forced to take this extreme step,” Kumar added.
