Now, District Town Planners to approve building plans

Chandigarh, March 1

The Haryana Government has decided to delegate powers to the District Town Planners (DTPs) regarding approval of building plans and grant of occupation certificate for sites having area up to two acres in their respective district.

An official spokesman said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had approved a proposal in this regard.

He said it had been decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the DTP concerned with Executive Engineer (XEN), Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), concerned as its member for the approval of building plans, composition of the violations in the building and grant of occupation certificate for the sites having an area up to two acres where change of land use has been permitted under Section 7 of the Punjab Scheduled Roads and Controlled Areas Restriction of Unregulated Development Act, 1963, and the building plans of individual residential sites in the valid licenced areas as well as where the exemption under Section 23 of the Urban Area Act, 1975, had been granted to the private colonies and where the zoning plans had been approved.
