The practice of reciting Vedic mantras will be back at the Kurukshetra University’s 30th convocation ceremony tomorrow after nearly two decades.

KU sources said hymns from the Bhagvad Gita and Taittiriya Upnishad, a part of Yajurveda, would be sung before awarding the degrees .
University management said Vedic recitation at the convocation was a norm about 20 years ago.

KU was established in 1956 as a Sanskrit institute before it was upgraded as a multi-disciplinary university.
