A day after the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) cancelled HTET Level-3 (postgraduate teacher) exam following reports of paper leak in Jind, rumours of another paper leak were rife during the conduct of Level-1 (primary teacher) and Level-2 (trained graduate teacher) exams today.

The answer keys allegedly of today’s exams were circulated on WhatsApp. This was brought into the notice of HBSE Secretary Pankaj Kumar. On investigation, the answer keys were found to be fake.

An HBSE official said the board had asked for the best possible police security around examination centres in the state so that the exam could be conducted without any hitch.

The security was tightened further after the paper leak episode in Jind on Sunday.

Nearly 3 lakh candidates appeared for the exams today.

Suman Rani, one of the candidates, said cancellation of the Level-3 exam was a lesson to those who resorted to unfair means during the exam.

Raj Kumar, another HTET aspirant, said the authorities concerned should maintain the highest degree of professionalism in dealing with the state-level examination and its cancellation for any reason resulted in harassment of thousands of candidates.
