The Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today, approved amendments to the Industrial Licensing Policy, 2015, offering incentives for the warehousing industry.

Currently, the warehousing activities are restricted to 10 per cent in an industrial township. Now, in any industrial colony, the entire colony may be developed for warehousing.

The coloniser at the time of submission of application for the grant of licence will be required to submit a proposal with regard to provision of plots for warehouses. An increase in the floor area ratio (FAR) of warehouse plots from the existing 0.75 to 1.25 will be allowed.

The coloniser will have to complete the infrastructure facilities in the entire industrial colony. He will have to allot at least one-third of the units — plotted industrial area in the case of industrial plotted colony or the permitted industrial FAR in the case of industrial colony with flats — before he is allowed permission to occupy the facility created under the residential and commercial uses, official sources said.

Regularisation policy

The Cabinet approved the proposal for regularisation of illegal conversion from residential to commercial use in the colonies developed by the Haryana Housing Board which had been transferred to the municipalities and were situated in the area designated as commercial zone in the development plan.

Transfer of land

The Cabinet gave its approval for the transfer 2,177 square yards of the UHBVN and 7,400 square yards of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak for the rehabilitation of houses/shops falling in the way of elevated railway track being constructed on the Rohtak-Gohana track.

Policy liberalised

The Cabinet allowed the applicability of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Policy on the individual licences of the colony and projects. Now, if the applicant desires to obtain TOD benefit only on the licensed area on an additional licensed land, it would be allowed.

Land for gaushala

The Cabinet approved the sale of five acres to Shri Krishan Gopal Sewa Samiti, Cheeka, for a gaushala.

Cabinet nod to dairy plaza

Approval was given to a proposal of the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department to provide land to the Hisar MC for shifting of dairies to the outskirts of the city on 50 acres in Revenue Estate, Bir, Hisar. A dairy plaza will be set up and all dairies will be relocated there.
