Kurukshetra, April 28
Chief Electoral Officer Rajeev Ranjan launched ‘Poll day check list’, a mobile-based application, ‘poll voting detail web page’ and ‘Selfie with democracy application’ in Kurukshetra, on Sunday.
The CEO said the sector zonal magistrate and micro observer would now update the voting report on the ‘Poll day check list’ mobile app instead of sending an SMS. The Election Commission and general public would be able to get the report through this application.
He said the ‘poll voting detail web page’ had been launched with the efforts of Kurukshetra district administration officials and NIC Department. From this web page, voters would be able get details about polling booths, voter lists and other election related information. Through ‘Selfie with democracy’ application voters would be able to post their selfies with inked finger. — TNS
