Rampal is ''qaidi number 1005'' now

Self-styled godman Rampal jailed for life till natural death in murder case of five of his disciples in Satlok Ashram is now 'qaidi number 1005' in the central jail-2 in Hisar. He will have a new cell in the jail now and will be given new dress too.

Jail sources said Rampal behaved normally before attending the court which was set up as makeshift arrangement in the central jail number 1. "He took his breakfast as usual. He stayed calm on returning back to the central jail-2 after he was awarded the punishment by the judge. He will now get the work to be assigned by the jail authorities as per the court verdict which awarded rigorous imprisonment," a source revealed.

However, sources added the jail staff deployed with Rampal always remains under observation of the higher authorities. "Rampal, being a preacher, has an attraction. Thus, the jail warders who are deployed in his cell are always under observation," said a source on the condition of anonymity.

Rampal is in Hisar jail for four years in connection with the murder and other cases he has been facing. 

During his stay in Rohtak jail in connection with Karontha murder case, three jail warders turned his disciples. The jail authorities had to transfer these three warders on disciplinary grounds as their used to treat him as their 'god' claiming that they attained spirituality with the help of Rampal.

While her sister Poonam and aunt Savitri will be lodged in the same jail premises with Rampal, his son Virender and rest of the convicts are lodged in the central jail number 1.
