Ranjit Kumar appointed HPSC chairman

The Haryana government has appointed Ranjit Kumar, a retired IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, as the Chairman of Haryana Public Service Commission(HPSC). He succeeds Manbir Singh Bhadana.

An IPS officer of 1983 batch, Ranjit Kumar had served  in several Central forces like the BSF, CRPF, CISF, SPG, CBI and the ITBP besides the West Bengal Police.

After retirement, he was also appointed as the Security Adviser to the Assam Chief Minister.

He is likely to be sworn  as the HPSC Chairman by the Haryana Governor here tomorrow.
