The protesters said that dirty water had accumulated on streets of the village in the absence of a proper drainage system. They were forced to resort to protest after their repeated pleas to the authorities fell on deaf ears, they said.

The staff of the panchayat office left the office in order to avoid direct confrontation with the protesters.

The women protesters refused to leave the office until their demand was fulfilled and the water was drained out from the streets.

Following this, Tehsildar Chander Mohan Bishnoi rushed to the village to take stock of the situation. The women agreed to withdraw their protest after Bishnoi assured them to drain out the water at the earliest.
