Ambala, June 17
The Municipal Corporation has issued a revised list of 45 colonies to the tehsil office after including khasra numbers left out in a survey.
As per reports, 45 colonies were regularised in 2004. But, a large number of khasra numbers were excluded due to which, neither the properties could be registered nor the building plans approved.
Gagandeep Singh, Joint Commissioner, Ambala Municipal Corporation, said the residents of these colonies were facing problems in property registration and other legal issues. He said a survey conducted on the instructions of Health Minister Anil Vij identified 25-30 acres against which residents could obtain NOCs and get building plans approved by depositing developmental charges.
Tehsildar Rajesh Punia said that properties would be registered as per the revised list.
On the other hand, Omkar Nath, chief patron, Property Consultants’ Association, claimed, “A large number of Khasra numbers have still been left out. The MC must include them in the list and 64 colonies regularised by the previous Congress government.”
