A local court has ordered registration of an FIR against a doctor in connection with the death of a patient due to alleged medical negligence.
Advocate Jitender Singh said Dr Anant Dalal of Ganga Ram Hospital had performed a surgery on his wife Neetu, a government official.
“She had sustained an internal injury during the surgery in May last year, but the doctor did not tell me about it. Later, I took my wife to other hospitals, but she could not be saved,” he said.
His wife had died in June last year. On the order of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashish Kumar Sharma, the police have booked Dr Dalal under Sections 304 and 34 of the IPC. — TNS
