RTI activist gets threat calls

Kurukshetra, February 7

Members of the Jan Abhiyan Manch today met Jind Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri against the alleged threats issued to an RTI activist.

Led by PP Kapoor, state convener, Indian Federation of Trade Unions (IFTU), the members said Sunil Kapoor was getting threat calls.

Kapoor said Sunil had been working to expose the wrongdoings in public offices through RTI applications.

An audio clip was also produced as evidence. The members demanded security cover for Sunil and registration of a criminal case. — TNS
