Amid demand for justice by the family of BAMS Dr Sunita Arora, who died during a raid conducted by the Health Department authorities at her clinic in Samalkha on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, the Samalkha police today inspected the clinic and collected the CCTV footage which is being considered vital evidence in the case.

The family members had also raised the issue on social media and sought the support of people. They demanded justice and claimed to have enough evidence, including footage from CCTV cameras, which reportedly goes against the members of the raiding health department team.

They claimed it a murder and demanded action against the team members.

However, the death of the doctor is still a mystery for the police the viscera report is yet to come.

DSP Gorakhpal Rana said the Samalkha police visited the spot and collected the CCTV cameras footage installed at clinic. This footage would help them to find out the truth.

He, however, said the police had booked the team members, including deputy civil surgeon Dr Sudhir Batra, Panipat naib tehsildar Rajbir and three other members, who raided the clinic on a tip-off that an illegal abortion was being carried in the clinic.

A case had also been registered against around 70-80 people, including son and daughter of the deceased, for blocking GT Road on Saturday. But no arrest had been made so far.

The DSP said the police have been probing all the angles of case. They would question the staff members and also a woman, who the Health Department claimed was there at the time of raid.

When the team of Health Department raided the clinic, they found a woman there, whom they questioned. After questioning her, the team started questioning Dr Sunita, who reportedly collapsed.

In the meantime, Dr Sunita’s husband Ved Parkash reached the clinic and asked the team members the reasons behind their raid.
