Women and Child Development Minister Kavita Jain today said people should take inspiration from the life and ideals of Savitri Bai Phule, the first woman teacher of the country, and work towards empowering women.
The minister was speaking at a function organised to mark Savitri Bai Phule Jayanti. The function was organised by the District OBC cell convener Pal Ram Saini and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Education and Social Welfare Society.
Jain assured to provide funds for the construction of a library named after Phule here.
Ladwa MLA Pawan Saini announced Rs 5 lakh for the library on the behalf of Minister of state Nayab Singh Saini. President of the state OBC cell Madan Chauhan and BJP district unit president Ashok Dhand were also present.
