Schools in several districts of Haryana to remain closed on Nov 4, 5 due to smog

The Haryana Government on Sunday ordered closure of all schools in several districts of the state owing to the smog and high pollution levels.

The district administration of Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Sonepat, Karnal, Rohtak, Hisar, Fatehabad, Jind, Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Rewari and Mahendragarh districts have decided that the schools will remain closed for two days — November 4 and 5 in view of the smog.

The schools in Gurugram and Faridabad districts will stay shut on November 4 and 5 owing to the air pollution in the two districts, a state government spokesperson said.

The timing for the schools in Sirsa districts too has been changed and they would hold classes between 10 am and 3 pm till November 6, he said.
