Faridabad: Declamation, poster-making, essay and slogan-writing contests were held in Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week recently. With the theme of 'Integrity- A Way of Life', the events focused on building character and true spirit among the students. RP Singh, chief manager, Indian Oil (Research and Development) was the chief guest.
Vigilance Awareness Week
Sonepat: Observing Vigilance Awareness Week, BPS Women University, Khanpur Kalan, Registrar Kiran Kamboj administered the ‘oath of honesty’ to the staff members. She stressed that the sentiments of honesty and responsibility play an important role in building the nation. Vice Chancellor Sudha Yadav exhorted the staff to remain vigilant about the activities taking place around to curb any anti-social or anti-national plans. “The sentiment of honesty is always helps in making a strong and civilised society,” she said.
Debate on nuclear vs joint family
Mahendragarh: The Central University of Haryana organised a debate competition on ‘nuclear vs joint family’. Vice Chancellor Prof RC Kuhad said the teams of all teaching departments participated in the contest. “The team of social science department was declared first while political science and education departments bagged the second and third places, respectively. The consolation prize was given to the journalism and mass communication department,” Kuhad added.
RKSD College Campus Placement
Kaithal: Mehak Goyal and Jyoti Sardana, BSc computer science students, RKSD College, were selected by Infosys during the pool campus drive at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana. Students were selected by going through a mental aptitude test followed by an interview. They will get an annual minimum package of Rs 2,22,000 during and after the training period.
